Before stepping out into the job market, it is important to know where
you have been, where you want to go, and how you want to get there.
We suggest you take a little personal inventory.
Deciding if this
is the right position for you is not an easy task. We want our clients
and candidates to be equally excited about the potential "marriage"
you are about to embark upon. We strongly suggest that through each
step of the process you evaluate your feelings about the opportunity.
We recommend this simple little "homework" assignment to everyone
to help in making the decision. Take a blank piece of paper; draw a
line down the center. At the top of the left column write "pros,"
at the top of the right column write "cons." Now it is time
for you to really think about the pros and cons of the opportunity -
what it means for you, for your family, for your career, etc. It is
amazing how this simple exercise can help clarify your mind by seeing
it on paper. One of our favorite sayings: "Listen to your gut.
If it feels good, do it. If not, it's not the right for you at this
time."
We want each and
every placement we make to be a success story, and that means it needs
to be right for everyone involved.
